Which Tassimo machine is best?
The Tassimo Happy is the best value — identical INTELLIBREW technology in the cheapest body. The Tassimo Finesse is a more modern, slimmer design at a slightly higher price. For most people, the Happy is the right choice unless you care about the updated design of the Finesse.
Are Tassimo pods available in supermarkets?
Yes — T DISC pods are widely stocked in Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, Morrisons and on Amazon UK. Costa, Kenco and Cadbury pods are the most widely available. Starbucks and premium varieties may need ordering online.
Can Tassimo make lattes and cappuccinos?
Yes — using a coffee disc followed by a milk disc, Tassimo makes cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites. The milk is already in the T DISC so no separate frother is needed. The milk foam quality is good but not as refined as a dedicated milk steaming system.
How do I descale a Tassimo machine?
Tassimo uses a specific descaling T DISC (available from Bosch and in supermarkets) rather than liquid descaler. Insert the disc, fill the tank with Tassimo descaler diluted in water, and run the descale cycle. The machine indicator light tells you when descaling is needed. Bosch recommends descaling every 3-6 months.
What is Tassimo INTELLIBREW?
INTELLIBREW is Tassimo's barcode-reading system. A barcode on each T DISC tells the machine the exact water volume, temperature and brew time required for that specific drink. This means every drink is automatically optimised — there is no risk of making a cappuccino at the wrong temperature or brewing for too long.
